Ted Lickteig has operated his own law practice since the Fall of 1988. His practice now focuses on employment matters of all types including whistleblowing, workers compensation retaliation, discrimination, wage claims, the Fair Labor Standards Act, the Family and Medical Leave Act, the Americans With Disabilities Act, Section 1983 claims, contract law claims and tort law claims. He filed one of the first cases to raise the FMLA in the federal District of Kansas.
He received his B.S. in Journalism from The University of Kansas in 1981 and his J.D. from Creighton University in 1986. He is licensed in the state and federal courts of Kansas, the Western District of Missouri, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit and the U.S. Supreme Court.
Ted Lickteig is a member of the Kansas Bar Association, the Johnson County Bar Association, Kansas Bar Association, the Wyandotte County, Kansas Bar Association, the Kansas City Metropolitan Bar Association, the National Employment Lawyers Association, the Kansas City affiliate of the National Employment Lawyers Association and the American Bar Association.
